Manager – Contracts and Data Management

Our Client is a major GCC company that manages a niche client group responsible for semi-government construction investment projects in the Middle East. The company has a number of significant projects through—out the GCC offering enviable stability of employment and the ability to attract and retain the best candidates. Your main function will be to:
• Serve as the central point to manage and enhance SAP Master Data (vendor and material)
• Assist in the development of SAP systems in line with policy and procedures of the business
• Active participant in the development of contracts
Core Responsibilities:
• Development of key guidelines and contract templates
• Active participation in developing and reviewing contractual documents relating to procurement controlling and proving necessary inputs/advice to the relevant procurement teams
• Provide guidance to the legal team from a commercial perspective to ensure that th terms and conditions are practicable while protecting the company’s interests
• Carry out the function of centralized control as required by the department. Being the custodian of procurement related functions (vendor, material and contracts). Control and approve of the processes and documentation associated ie blacklisting, blocking and unblocking of vendors
• Conduct regular compliance reviews on vendor/materials data and SAP
• Perform tasks for vendor management – pre-qualification, performance evaluation, pre-qualification of direct approach vendors and blocking/unblocking as required
• Own SAP Vendor Master data and Material Master Date while maintaining and updating
• Analyze the Vendor/Material masters in terms of usability and appropriateness
• Participate in SAP modification and development
• Assist the procurement teams with enquires in relation to procurement controlling
• Perform monthly SAP compliance reviews
